Managing Locations

The Pro version allows you to manage multiple business locations. Each location is treated as a separate entry, allowing for unique details and schema for each.

Accessing Locations

After activating the Pro plugin, you will find a new menu item in your WordPress admin sidebar, typically labeled Business Schema . Under this, you’ll see a submenu called Locations .

  • Clicking on Locations  will show you a list of all your saved locations, similar to the standard WordPress posts or pages list.
  • From here, you can add new locations, edit existing ones, or delete them.

Adding a New Location

To add a new business location:

  1. Navigate to Business Schema > Locations .
  2. Click the “Add New Location” button at the top of the page (or Business Schema > Add New Location  from the sidebar).
  3. You will be taken to the Location editor screen.

Filling in Location Details

The Location editor screen has a main “Title” field and a “Location Details” meta box below it where you will enter all the specific information for that business location.

Location Title

Enter a descriptive title for this location. This is primarily for your internal reference in the WordPress admin (e.g., “Downtown Branch”, “Main Street Store”, “Head Office”). The name used in the actual schema markup is entered separately below.

Location Details Meta Box

This section contains all the specific details for the location.

Basic Information:

  • Schema Business Name: The official name of the business at this specific location as it should appear in the schema markup.
  • Business Type: Select the most specific type for this location (e.g., Restaurant, Hotel, Store, Dentist). Fields specific to the selected type will appear below.

Address Details:

  • Street Address: Full street address.
  • City / Locality: The city or town.
  • State / Region: The state, region, or province.
  • Postal / Zip Code: The postal or zip code.

  • Google Maps URL: The direct shareable link to this location on Google Maps.

Geo Coordinates:

  • Latitude & Longitude: Enter manually, or fill in the address fields above and click the Fetch Coordinates  button (requires your Google API Key to be set in Pro Settings).

Opening Hours:

Use the repeater to define opening hours for different days. Click “Add Opening Hours Rule” for each new set of days/times.

  • Select the applicable Days using the checkboxes.
  • Enter the Opens and Closes times in HH:MM format (e.g., 09:00 for 9 AM, 17:30 for 5:30 PM).
  • Example: Rule 1: Days [Mon, Tue, We, Th, Fr], Opens: 09:00, Closes: 17:00. Rule 2: Days [Sa], Opens: 10:00, Closes: 14:00. (Sunday would be considered closed if not specified).

Google Reviews Integration:

  • Google Place ID: Enter the unique Place ID for this location (refer to the “Setup & Configuration” section for how to find this). This is required to fetch Google Reviews.

Other Details:

  • Price Range: Optional. Indicate the price range (e.g., $, $$, $$$).

Subtype Specific Fields:

Based on the “Business Type” you select, additional fields may appear here:

  • If Type is Restaurant: Menu URL, Serves Cuisine(s), Reservations URL.
  • If Type is Hotel (or LodgingBusiness): Check-in Time, Check-out Time, Pets Allowed.
  • If Type is Store: Payment Accepted, Branch Code.
  • If Type is MedicalBusiness (or Dentist, Physician): Medical Specialty, Accepting New Patients.
